Alcohol-free perfume manufacturing is not simply standard perfume with ethanol removed. The carrier changes clarity, skin feel, spray behavior, preservation considerations and fragrance performance.
Oil roll-ons, water-based sprays and other low- or no-alcohol systems need different formulas and packages. A water-containing product may require solubilization and microbiological controls; an oil may need a roller or compatible pump rather than a fine-mist sprayer.
Assess separation, haze, odor change, color, leakage and application over time. Check gasket, dip tube and container compatibility with the actual carrier. Claims such as “alcohol free” should be verified against the formula and reviewed under destination-market rules.
