Can a Perfume Factory Use Customer-Supplied Bottles and Packaging?

By AROMAMATRIX Project Team

Stainless-steel tanks used for perfume compounding, relevant to customer supplied perfume packaging

Customer-supplied perfume packaging can reduce sourcing work only when the components arrive with usable specifications, quantities and responsibility rules.

Provide bottle and neck drawings, pump and gasket data, cap fit, packing method and approved samples. Include extra units for incoming inspection, line setup and rejects. Identify every carton and component lot.

Run compatibility before bulk shipment

Send representative bottle, pump, cap and liquid samples for assembly and line trials. Define who bears freight, customs, storage and loss when materials arrive late or fail inspection. The factory should not assume responsibility for a supplied component simply because it can be physically filled once.

Agree how unused and defective materials are returned, stored or disposed of after production.
