What Does a 5-Day Raw-Material Procurement Period Mean?

By AROMAMATRIX Project Team

Perfume bottles moving through the filling and assembly line, relevant to perfume raw material procurement time

A five-day raw-material procurement period is one purchasing milestone, not the total perfume delivery time. It may apply to suitable regular materials after formula approval and availability confirmation.

Before purchasing, the fragrance reference, dosage and batch quantity must be fixed. Packaging components follow their own schedules; decorated bottles, printed cartons and custom caps can take much longer. Incoming checks, compounding, filling, assembly, inspection and dangerous-goods freight occur after materials are available.

How buyers should use the estimate

Ask which materials are covered, whether stock has been reserved and what could change availability. Put the five-day node inside the full project schedule rather than advertising it as a five-day manufacturing promise.
