Perfume Packaging Quality Control: Common Defects and Checks

Perfume packaging quality control needs measurable defect definitions. “Looks premium” cannot guide inspectors deciding whether to accept a batch.

Inspect components and finished units

For glass, define limits for chips, cracks, bubbles, instability and cosmetic marks. Check pump fit, cap alignment and decoration position. For cartons, inspect color, print registration, foil, glue, scuffing and dimensions.

Finished units add new risks: leakage, incorrect scent-artwork matching, poor assembly, visible fill variation and inadequate protection. Approve a reference sample and classify critical, major and cosmetic defects before inspection.

Record the sampling method and disposition of failed goods. Photographs help communication, but dimensional and functional defects should be supported by measurements or tests.
