Perfume RFQ Checklist: Information Needed for an Accurate Quote

A perfume RFQ should make suppliers quote the same project. Include enough detail to expose assumptions without pretending every design decision is already final.

Commercial details

• Destination country, sales channel and target launch window
• Quantity per fragrance and expected repeat-order pattern
• Required quotation currency and Incoterm
• Items that must be priced separately

Product details

• Format, bottle size and concentration direction
• Fragrance brief or existing formula responsibility
• Bottle, pump, cap, decoration, label and carton references
• Required samples, tests, documents and inspection

Ask the supplier to identify component minimums, buyer-supplied information, exclusions and decisions affecting lead time. A structured RFQ produces a useful comparison and reduces price revisions later.
