A pre-production perfume sample is the first opportunity to approve the complete product: liquid, fill, closure, decoration, label, carton and assembly together.
Confirm scent reference, appearance, fill, spray, leakage, cap fit, decoration position, artwork content, batch-code area and box protection. Compare physical colors and finishes with approved references. Verify that the scent name matches every printed component.
Record any difference between the sample and intended mass production, such as hand-applied decoration or substitute material. Approve with a dated sample code and photographs, but retain the physical unit when possible. A fragrance evaluation vial is not a substitute because it cannot prove package function.
