Perfume is often dangerous goods in transport because alcohol-based formulas can be flammable. Classification is based on the actual product and transport rules, not on whether the retail package appears harmless.
Alcoholic perfumery products are commonly associated with UN 1266 and Class 3, but the applicable packing group, limited-quantity provisions and carrier acceptance require product data and route review. Formula, flash point, inner bottle size, total quantity and mode all matter.
Use compliant inner and outer packaging, marks, labels and documentation prepared by competent parties. Courier acceptance for a few samples does not prove that the same route can carry a commercial shipment.
